I have really appreciated the concern of a few readers about my job hunt, so I'm happy to report I've found a good one!

A few weeks ago I registered at LinkedIn.com. Within 24 hours a former co-worker had accepted my invitation to "connect" and another former co-worker had invited me to "connect" with her. The second person, who now manages the local office of another company, immediately asked if I were available; this week she hired me. My new job gives me work I enjoy, a decent income and the flexibility to work on personal projects.
