Making locally grown food last all year

The Local Food Northern Nevada blog has an interesting end-of-winter entry about storing food. It answers questions I've had about Northern Nevadans who want to eat locally grown food during the winter. What methods do they use to preserve food? How long does food last? How do you know how much to save? Isn't canning a lot of work? Does the author ever shop at traditional grocery stores? Visit the link to find the answers.
