It sucks to be sick
According to the staff at the urgent care place I visited Monday, I'm one of many people they've been seeing lately with viral sore throats (or viral pharyngitis in their language). Since they ruled out strep (which would be bacterial), I just have to tough it out with aspirin/acetaminophen/ibuprofen and salt water gargling. "It seems to hang on," they said. They were right.
