Giving thanks

In the spirit of Thanksgiving—
  • I'm thankful a relative offered to host Thanksgiving dinner this year so I didn't have to spend today cleaning. OK, I admit it—I'd have had to spend the week cleaning.
  • I'm thankful I don't have to travel out of town for the holiday, especially by air.
  • I'm thankful the weather will be good for the relatives traveling here from California.
  • I'm thankful the Libby's pumpkin pie recipe makes too much filling, because I dropped the mixing bowl in the pie tin while I was pouring the filling into it this afternoon.
  • I'm thankful for my husband, who immediately cleaned up the pumpkin splattered all over the kitchen without being asked while I finished putting the pie into the oven.
  • I'm thankful for Nevada's clear blue skies. Was it beautiful today, or what?
  • I'm thankful for the response my blog has had so far.
I'm trying to keep this light, but I'm also thankful for my family, my health, my comfortable home, and modern conveniences (an understatement) like the Internet. I thank you if you've read this far, and I wish you a very happy Thanksgiving.
