I can't figure out why the local media keep making such a big deal about the Darren Mack case. Am I the only person who lost interest after police named him as the only suspect and subsequently arrested him? Did we need a whole front section of the RGJ about the case after the arrest? Do we need a Darren Mack case blog, for crying loud? And why is "Mack jury selection continues" front page news for the RGJ and "today's big story" for KTVN? These are just pathetic attempts to sell papers and increase ratings, right?

It wasn't even news when the trial had to be moved to Las Vegas because of all the pre-trial publicity.

The only news related to this case that will interest me will be the punishment decided for Mack and whether he will appeal it. Well, if his lawyers got him acquitted, I would find that extremely interesting, but I'm not expecting that based on all the information that has flooded us.

I'm trying to ignore everything else.
